It is time again to revisit the lands of the far future, to a land of galactic civil war. Star Wars legion has been growing at a rapid rate in my area, its small but tight squadron based combat offers a reprieve from the mass amounts of figures of Warhammer and other micro-scale games. Repurposing a lot of mechanics from Fantasy Flight’s other games such as X-wing, any players familiar with the more ship-based star wars offering will be able to jump into legion without much issue.

The Rebel and Empire faction have at this point acquired a good variety of units with numerous choices of commanders, vehicles, and infantry/support types. This past week we decided to put a classic matchup to the test. Both Empire and Rebel forces amassed at a long-abandoned industrial facility, eager to plunder the structures for long lost technology to aid in their war efforts.

Star Wars Empire Vs Rebels 2014
The Empire’s forces were led by the esteemed general Veers along with an imperial officer. The Rebel strike force was headed by a Rebel commander. A variety of troopers took to the field along with an occupier tank for the empire and an AT-RT walker and a modified land speeder for the rebels.
As the game began, the troops took to the field. Misfortune immediately fell on the Rebel lines as General Veer’s artillery strike along with mortar fire from imperial troops hammered rebel fleet troopers, sending bodies flying and pinning down the survivors.
More rebel troops push for the center while the AT-RT and some veterans moved up the left flank. The imperials responded to this by moving up their occupier tank filled with royal guard. The guard made a move for the left flank and made short work of the rebel veterans with their shock staves.
Needing to commit more firepower to the field, the modified and weaponized land speeder went full speed for the center building, its rockets and lasers scorching the imperial lines. The defensive line created by shore troopers and stormtroopers held strong as more rebel troopers advanced only to be cut down by armored troops behind cover.
Only the rebel snipers and vehicles could hope to deal damage to the imperial gun-line now, but the AT-RT was quickly becoming bogged down with attacks from the royal guard. Sniper fire rang out as targets fell, the occupier tank now moved into the rebel lines to cause further havoc.
With both forces becoming more strained by the moment, the remaining infantry on both sides made a last-ditch effort to capture the much-needed objectives. The rebel troopers claimed the rightmost building but came under fire from the occupier.
The land speeder continued to harass imperial troopers in the center, while general veers and his officer made a sprint to capture the center. As the final turn came by, the smoke of battle dissipated Veers still had control of the center while the occupier tank had finished cleaning up the remaining rebel infantry on the right objective, this secured an imperial victory 4 to 1.

First, learn how to control your Jedi warrior. You will use the right and left arrow keys for moving, with the up arrow you jump, and you press the spacebar to attack with your sword. Throw bombs to wreck walls and open paths by pressing the G key.
Now, you will go through different courses ruled by the Empire, where you have to do your best to defeat all the Empire soldiers you encounter along the way, collect Lego bricks, and reach the end of each level, simple as that.
There will be bosses at the end of each level, of course, so make sure to defeat them, since you will deal a big blow to the Empire's forces. Good luck, let the fun begin, and stick around for all the more fun that still awaits you!
