Activation Code: The 17-digit alphanumericactivation code is sent through email in response to your order andis used to generate license capacity / feature activation key(s) foryour Juniper Networks software. The activation code is used to generateyour license activation key—it is not the license activationkey itself.
Download Software.
Go to Juniper’s Support Downloads page. A Juniper Customer Support Center (CSC) user account is neededto access support content. (If you do not already have an account,go to Login Assistance.) Look for and click on your software’sproduct line and download the software
Install the software according to the instructions inthe product documentation.
Generate and install license activation key(s).
Upon initial setup, a base activation key might be requiredto activate the software. If further capacity or feature(s) were purchasedand are being added to the software, each capacity increment and featureneeds to be added via another activation key.Generatelicense activation keys using the Juniper Agile LicensingPortal. At the top of the portal, enter your activation code,and click Activate. Then follow the instructions on screen. Juniperprovides license activation keys in one of two ways:
Download: You can download activation keys from the Juniper Agile LicensingPortal.
Email: You receive an email that contains the licenseactivation key(s).
Obtain internet activation.
The software might connect to the Juniper Agile LicensingPortal through the internet as part of the activation sequence.
This article provides information on how to manage and maintain an accurate Install Base for your Juniper Networks products. Maintaining an accurate Install Base will ensure that our Self-Service Tools, such as Serial Number Entitlement Tool, reflect your product details correctly. It will also enable Juniper to stock accurate spares inventory, allowing us to meet delivery SLA in the event of any RMA requests.
